We Really wanted to like this Campground, close enough to Sheboygan for a quick trip. Shortly after we arrived on a Sunday afternoon things went bad. I'm going to try too not make this too long. First thing, the roads through the camp areas are narrow, full of holes & tree roots. Someone had parked their car in our spot, we tried to pull our camper in but wasn't going to work. The sites are very uneven, a small strip to park our camper, then the site sloped down. No one was around at the site that owned the vehicle in our spot but had a dog that was constantly barking. We decided to park our camper in the spot across from ours. Then the women with the vehicle came back, she started out being nasty when we asked her about the vehicle. We explained we had been there for an hour and had to listen to their dog the whole time. My husband was ready to just leave but we decided to leave the camper and drive through the park to look for another site. We found a better one in the ATV section. Of course there isn't anyone at the park to talk to about moving. When we went back for our camper the Husband comes up to us and being nasty because of how we supposedly talked to his wife. We told him we were moving to another site but he just kept going at us. Then we got out of there.

Other issues. No regularly Scheduled cleaning of Bathrooms, Showers & Pit Toilets. Someone apparently had bad Diarrhea in the mens room, toilet sat for a couple days, finally was flushed but not cleaned. Showers were disgusting, I found one that was usable, definitely a shoes on shower. The others were dirty, with leaves, muddy. One had a pile of Feces in a corner another had at least a dozen q-tips dumped in the shower. None had been cleaned before we left on Wednesday. Multiple Dumpsters were sitting full and no closed lids, they were finally emptied Wednesday morning. I'm thinking there are some Health Code & DNR violations going on with cleaning and open Dumpsters. We camp mostly at County Parks, we have never been to one where there isn't a Camp Host or Rangers that drive through multiple times a day. There are Parks where even the Pit Toilets were hosed down and bleached every day. It's a Shame No One in the County Parks Department is either Aware or Cares about how the Park is Maintained. It's a Beautiful area, Gorgeous Lake but barely usable for camping. It would be great to hear sometime in the future that a complete overhaul of the park was going to happen 🤞
