My friends and I made fond memories at the rustic cabin. There were 5 beds for us, a mostly furnished kitchen, a black-and-white TV with some DVD's provided, along with some board games and cards. We also had access to tons activities outside of the cabin-- shopping at the local town (Viroqua), visiting Kickapoo state park, swimming at a beach, etc.

There are a few things I wish I knew about when booking the cabin; I'd recommend bringing your own cutting boards and knives. We also used bins to store our pantry items because there's a mouse that will scavenge for crumbs (so I'd also recommend keeping a tidy kitchen to prevent it from being invasive). There are locks on the cabin, but they don't work, so I'd just order a "portable lock" from online or something like that.

There's a lovely outdoor shower, right underneath the balcony. It's accompanied by the sounds of the bubbling creek in the backyard. The only thing to keep in mind is that the curtains are see-through, but all you have to do is wear a swimming suit to resolve that.

Overall, while there are some things that I wish were different, my friends and I overall had a good time at this cabin. There are definitely good fishing spots in the area.
