As someone who works in the outdoor recreation industry, I really want to like LOGE, so I keep trying. But I'm officially done and am never staying at another one again.
The rooms here are dark and depressing, with bald edison style light bulbs that just make it feel institutional. There is no art or anything to make the space feel comfortable, even though Shasta is one of the most beautiful places.
It's a very cheap, shabby renovation of an old motel, and it is not well maintained or clean. The heat didn't work, the fridge was full of frost, and the bathroom was disgusting.
The resort fee is a complete scam - none of the usual equipment or amenities are available, except for a hammock and Yeti cooler, both of which were too gross to touch.
The only staff person present was young and really didn't know how to do anything.
LOGE tries to draw you in with the "outdoor stoke" vibe but it's all a branding act. Being outdoorsy doesn't mean trashy.
