We stayed in one of the 4 person primitive cabins. The setting was absolutely gorgeous. The cabins were spaced very generously, and the whole park is quite small, so you felt extremely secluded. Our cabin was about 15 feet from the Northern Branch of the Potomac River, looking over into Maryland. The constant sound of the river was so soothing, and I couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The cabins were primitive, and plan on bringing some wet wipes or something to “shower”. Make sure to bring water and firewood, as the closest store is quite a trek. I’d consider bringing an additional heater if you’re going during tHe cold season. The Mineral County Parks and Recs department was extremely responsive and helpful through Facebook Messenger. I was able to reserve my cabin, and ask all the questions I needed to through there.
