We stayed in cabin number 4, which is the nicest “primitive” cabin I’ve ever occupied . The cabin was clean , very well equipped, had a gas stove, delightful fire place and a great wrap around covered porch overlooking the lake. Within the cabin was also the life vest ( pfds) for use in the boats at the lake. The out house was clean, firewood split in a shed nearby and a water pump beside the house.
I’ve become accustomed to WV hospitality and Jeff Layfield, park superintendent , certainly delivered that to us on our night of our lodging.
We also looked at the tent campgrounds that a day and found them to be well placed and well equipped.
If you’re wanting to stay in a cabin, cabin 4 is nicely removed from the others and very private.
