Tent just south of the cabin, or sleep in it.
If you’re doing a day trip from Yuma foothills through Christmas pass this is a good place for lunch.
Contrary to many stories Christmas pass was not found on Christmas Day, it was found by Lieutenant Joseph Christmas Ives while chasing Indians who stole horses from Fort Yuma. C1854.
West bound don’t miss the cotton top cactus cluster, on the north side @ North 32° 16.450’ West 113° 56.279’. It is the largest ( over 100 heads) cotton top cactus cluster that I and others have ever seen. It has been shown in Arizona highways Magazine.
If you’re an overlander with a large vehicle I recommend you follow El Camino del Diablo East to old Highway 80 or go through Cipriano Pass. not Tinnis Altos Pass. several larger vehicles have got stuck trying to do El Camino el Diablo West south of Cipriano pass.
