It is one of the worst places to rent. Rent increased yearly for no good reason. The owner is NOT friendly. She is very quick to talk smack about you behind your back. Watch your back because if she doesn't like you, you will get targeted. This is NOT a safe place. Transients come through here often. There are lots of issues with thefts as well. Showers have been under construction for over a year now, and you have to pay an extra $80 (recently increased from $30 for what??? 1 lousy shower stall) month to use them. Maintenance is lacking. If you want the truth about this place, go talk to the housing manager at Salvation Army. Word gets around quite quickly with other housing resource organizations about shady business practices. There has also been 2 separate occasions where a younger gentleman, (sme one both times) has shown up between 11:35pm and 1:00 am at the empty house the owner used to live at, just to do drug activity. He would show up with friends and sit there for hours. There's 2 trashed RVs still parked in their same locations even though the owner claims they will be removed within a week. It has been over 1 year for one and coming close to a year for the other. Inappropriate graffiti has been displayed on the dumpster more than once. Trash strewn on the ground by the dumpster, dogs roaming free even though according to the PET lease ALL DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON A LEASH! And cats are not allowed to roam free either, but there are plenty of those around. Dogs are barking often even at night. Owners not picking up after their pets as per lease agreement. Rent has been increased 3 times in 1 year, which is illegal. I have the written proof with the owner's signature. Rent has increased $50 a month since I have been here. That's $260 in a 3-4 year period, so far. This is NOT a low-income RV/Mobile home park. $800 for an RV space is pretty steep for absolutely no amenities beside 2 washers and dryers that smell quite used and of course you pay to use but cannot guarantee your clothes won't get stolen, power hookup, water hookup, sewer hookup, and garbage. No propane, no groceries, or anything else. They already turned the rec hall into a private home for the property manager.
