Called to inquire about RV space: just like every other RV park, they discriminate against people who are disabled and need a different type of RV. More concerned about appearances than following fair housing laws and ADA non discrimination laws. And seemingly they get away with it because not enough people complain and too many don’t report them. I’d have a nice class A RV and used to own one before my physical disability got worse to where I required the use of a walker and sometimes a wheelchair if I didn’t have to use wheeled mobility aids. But the reality is I use wheeled mobility aids and therefore I require a handicap accessible RV with a ramp and the only way to have that ramp was to get a custom made RV made from a bus shell. And yet RV parks deny rental based upon the fact I disclose that I’m disabled and require a special designed non conventional RV. This place has done the same thing that all the others around here have done. It’s basically telling someone you won’t rent to them because they use a wheelchair and if they don’t use their wheelchair you’d rent to them.

It’s blatant discrimination rampant among RV parks. This place and others need to start accepting disabled people and accommodate them and if it means they require a non conventional RV because it’s handicap accessible then they must accept it it’s the same as accommodating someone who requires the use of a wheelchair. RV parks like this one have HUGE issues with discrimination against the disabled by refusing to rent to them based upon the fact they require special accommodations like mobility aid use and specialized RVs with ramps. No wonder there are so many disabled people who have special RVs living on the streets: because of places like this that refuse to take them. And they just use the vehicle as an excuse to refuse to rent since they can’t legally outright say it’s because they’re disabled but we all know that’s why. They’re just wording it so it doesn’t sound as illegal when it still is since I disclosed right away that I was disabled and had a specialized RV BECAUSE of my disability. Avoid places like this that discriminate at all costs and don’t give them any business.
