We arrived at the entrance around 11:00 on a Monday in September. If the parking lot is at capacity, they will make you wait. We waited in line for about 15 minutes before being let in, which isn’t too bad compared to other people that supposedly wait for hours. I think September is a great time to avoid crazy crowds. But of course, try your best to get here as early as possible no matter what. Don’t let this deter you! It was our favorite location in Olympic National Park. The rainforest is secluded and peaceful, you are able to truly immerse yourself in nature. We hiked the Hall of Mosses and Spruce Nature Trail. Both were not difficult by any means. The Spruce trail leads to a scenic river area.
