Since we were camping primitive, Leslie and the owner suggested the campsite on the outer edge of the campground. It was quiet (other than an occasional motorist on the country road). We had a nice place under the maple tree. The campsite was clean, free of ticks too! (Anyone camping primitive can appreciate that). The bathhouse was a short hike away for the more "modern" moments of shower and toilet. We found both the owner and Leslie to be helpful and delightful. We enjoyed our stay albeit only two nights. We canoed about the lake, enjoyed some down time on the beach (canoed there) and had a great camping experience. It is a beautiful setting. Note: there are mansions on that lake that don't have the wonderful sunset view that this campground does. I camped at Leonard's when I was a teenager and while I was disappointed to find it now gone, it is good to know there is this campground available! We love that the Christian Flag waves over the office too! Praise the Lord Jesus Christ!
