Newly revamped campground since Aug 4 2023. Seems they are still working the bugs out and hopefully are planning to finish up on some things. Having stayed at other campgrounds in Luray and other rv resorts owned by some of the same owners as this one, this one has some smoothing out to do. The positives: great location and views, level sites, near river, near town and stores, new buildings some new amenities. The negatives: Lack of security at front-no one checking car tags at all, site was too small for our camper and one truck- we were in the aisle, if campground was full we would not have been able to have our truck at our site...neither would have any of the other campers in the first sites in each row. Too short and campers too long in them . Need a size limit on them. Kids had no planned activities at all. No movies, no crafts, no bingo. Trick or treat got added a few days before the weekend but not on website. Sign in camp store. No prices of things on website until you try to book. Entrance poorly lit. Very hard to see in the dark. You have no idea where to turn coming from other side of divided highway. Totally blind and no sign. After 6p you are on your own. Everything closed and no employees in sight. We paid 500 to stay 4 nights. Self service check in since it was 615. No activities. Site too small. Water pressure so low my daughter could not get shampoo out of her hair. Saw One employee in 5 days. All gravel roads so very dusty. Hopefully things will improve. We'll go back to Jellystone for a bit.
