One of the best campsites I've ever been to! This place is a true mountain escape from the desert life down in Sierra Vista. Takes about 45 minutes to drive up from Highway 92 South (sedans can make it, but 4x4/AWD is recommended). Costs $10 a night to use a campsite (bring cash or a check). There are approximately 16 sites, all primitive and graded. Each site has a hardened firepit with folding grate, grill, picnic table, and plenty of area for parking (2 vehicles could easily fit in most sites). All sites are shaded for the majority of the day and most have clearings to look at the stars.

Make sure you check to see if there are any firebans in effect, there typically are no restrictions from June and beyond.

It gets cold here! We went at the end of September and it dipped down into the high 40s at night.

Restrooms were very well maintained, no showers on site (or running water).
