This is a high end RV park. There is no dirt anywhere, all the roads are black top as are all the RV sites. Concrete curbs and stones border all the blacktop. Easy access from I-10. They have pickleball, hot tub, swimming pool, laundry, everything neat and clean. They have an observatory you can schedule in the office to have a show with their 16 inch reflecting telescope. I’ve been stopping here for the last four years for a few days passing through and it always looks kind of new.

The rate is reasonable for their amenities and quality at about double the low end of a private RV park.

Tombstone is located about 45 minutes south and Cochise’s Stronghold is about an hour east. Tombstone is a full day with restaurants, shows, souvenirs, etc. The main tourist strip is closed to traffic re-creates an old time western town with the stagecoach, running up and down the street and gun fights breaking out on a pretty regular schedule. Cochise’s Stronghold is completely undeveloped. It’s a long, rough dirt road you can drive down and see magnificent scenery. Well worth the drive as long as you’re not expecting an amusement park or even a touristy national park.
