We stayed at this campground in Nov. It is located down in a sort of raven, but right on a fork of the Shenandoah River. Friendly staff and easy check in. (We had reservations which we paid a deposit at reservation time and paid the remainder upon arrival.) The RV sites are not on the river. Those are tent sites and they are very large! RV sites are fairly close together, but in Nov it was pretty empty. Bathrooms were clean. Each room had a toilet, sink and shower. NOT HEATED! brrrr!! Water was hot, thank goodness. Don't rely on your GPS. Ours tried to take us a really back way. Just take US-340 and turn onto state Rte 613. Not too many choices in the area for RV camping, especially if the state park is full. This one was good.
