Switzer Lake is a hidden gem in the George Washington National Forest, near the border of Virginia and West Virginia. It is a stunning lake surrounded by forested mountains, offering a serene and scenic escape from the city. There are also hiking trails nearby.

There are multiple campsites with fire rings. It’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.

To get to the lake, you need to take Skidmore Fork Road off of US 33, which is a dirt road. A high-clearance vehicle is recommended to get to the bottom, where the best campsites are. There are also some pull-offs along the road where you can park and walk to the lake.

Switzer Lake is a beautiful destination for anyone who loves the outdoors and wants to experience paradise.
