Wonderful place to do a family camping trip, both lakes were fun for paddle boarding as well as kayaking, grounds are handicapped friendly, staff was all super friendly and helpful with everything, grounds were superbly well maintained, bow and arrow shooting area, great hiking / biking trails, shower facilities are top notch, grounds are well patrolled so safety was of no concern besides what you “may” come across in the wild. Discovery center was fun for kids the jr ranger programs were very informational to what they may come across on a hike or while camping, advice on what to do and not to do. Playground is a great place for any grandparent to bring their grandkids to feel safe have restroom facilities on site handicap friendly as well as paved walkways, beach area has outdoor wash off sprayers as well as water fountain and specific area just for kids. Can rent kayaks canoes paddle boats on site also. Highly recommend this state park
