Hiked in early December. Most of the day had 20 degree temps. Packed a couple pairs of waders just in case we ran into water we couldn’t stem over or climb around. In warm weather we would hike through water but wanted other options due to cold temps. We ran into one section early in the hike where we were forced to use the waders. There were an additional 2 water sections that some members of our group stemmed over and others used the waders.

I really enjoyed Ding & Dang. You get the slot canyon beauty of Little Wild Horse type canyons but with the added technical sections that make the trip feel more like an adventure. We had a 60 year old down to a 21 year old in our group. All with differing levels of physical fitness. We found that all of the obstacles were manageable.

We hiked the full loop with a group of 5 people, taking their time and not running into any other traffic in 3 hours and 45 minutes.
