The host did a good job keeping the place clean and nice. The toilets were a lot better than standard open pit outhouse style in terms of stink factor, but far too small for an adult man to use for crapping; you had to choose between getting the seat dirty or touching your junk on the inside rim -- both equally terrible; I held it and went into town, so -1 star for that reason alone. The location was pretty nice, though right on the road and not secluded/dense trees.
Fine for a few nights, especially if you have your own rig. Less great for a tent stay of more than a night or two.
The Navajo Lake Loop Trail can be entered right at the back of the campground and you can hike the entire loop out and around the lake or just the Zion overlook rim in about 3 hours (which is what we did).
