A beautiful drive to a beautiful place was what we needed. Surrounded by trees, hills, and mountains was enough to make us forget about the hustle and bustle of every day life. Greeting us was camp hosts Theda and her husband. Friendly and helpful, they helped us get aquatinted with the place. Campsites are clean, roomy enough and right next a beautiful sounding creek. The sound is enough to put you to sleep, given that you like the sound of continuous flowing water. The main road is just near the campsites, but it isn't busy.
Restrooms are clean, a comfort that is a must when camping but if need be, a non-flushable toilet is just as good. When camping, you don't need all the fancies of home, it defeats the purpose of camping. However, no showers are available here.
A small road near the camp led to a beautiful short hike. Being in the quietness of it all made our camping experience so peaceful. Not to worry, there were no bears in site or around to hinder our stay. We had a delightful time here, our hosts were amazing, and overall it was a great experience we'll never forget. Just please abide by what the hosts aquire of tenants. Park on the pavement (to which enough space is provided) as to prevent the eroding of what is naturally around. It is after all, it is a National Park and preserving what is left is precious.
In addition, this place is close to town and a gorgeous gorgeous lake (Panguitch lake). There are many sites to visit, places to cruise to, and hikes to venture forth on in the vicinity.
