This campground is nearly perfect. I stayed in B loop at site 30, right on the corner and next to the Fremont River Trail and swimming access to the river.

The only reason I knock of one star is because it gets every hot in the summer and there is very little shade at our site. The sun came blasting in to our trailer all late afternoon and evening. It made it unbearably hot inside.

Other than that, this campground is amazing. The fire pits are large. The sites are spacious with long enough driveways for a 24 foot trailer and a truck. The bathrooms were very clean and had two stalls and two urinals.

There was also a gray water sink.

When the sun is setting you get a lovely view of the sun hitting the cliffs.

There is plenty to do nearby, as the Gifford House and Visitor’s Center for Capitol Reef are a short walk.

It was nice to have a campground with grass instead of dirt, as well, although the grass attracts flies.
