This was ours very first off-highway adventure. I researched beforehand to find that this trail was labeled easy. I must say it wasn't as easy as people think. We were driving a jeep wrangler. We entered at Blue Point (route 10) and continued the whole route 10, which is 14 miles and it took us 2 hours. A lot of parts of the trail needed high clearance and definitely a steady driver. The scenery was gorgeous. We didn't see one car or person the whole trail. We ventured on a Tuesday at 2pm. I am glad to experience this on my own and would most likely try a different route. I purchased my permit online for $6 and it lasts for 6 months. Each month there is a different gate code so keep that in mind. Happy Jeeping!
