We camped and kayaked in mid-November and had a great experience. The camping set up was very low key, it's just a large area on the side of the Guadalupe with some concrete pads and Pecan trees and you can camp wherever you want. We got there after dark, so it felt kinda creepy at night, but in the morning it wasn't bad. The employees were really friendly and helpful with planning the kayak trip. There was plenty of flow in the river due to recent rain for us to kayak the 4 mile stretch without needing to get out and pull the kayaks. The mid-November timing ended up being perfect, because there was no one else on the river but us and a lot of wildlife, and the trees changing colors were really beautiful.
