Fun place that gets super packed on weekends and holidays. The swimming area can end up looking like a California beach with people packed in like sardines, but on calmer days, it's great. Clean and pretty water.
There are plenty of restrooms around and camp sites with little screened in covered spaces up on the hill.
If you have a dog, keep in mind that the swimming beach is heavily enforced for service dogs only. There is a cove near the boat dock with a pretty steep, rocky incline that is meant for the non service pups to enjoy with their owners. Bring shade if it's a sunny day or you'll be making a short trip of it.
The park has limited capacity, so if you arrive late, be ready to wait in a long line. It's like a club, one vehicle out makes space for another to enter, and the line can be super, super long.
Also, the guy working the gate was very impatient and rude up until the point that we paid, so be prepared for that.
All in all, it's a fun place to enjoy Lake Georgetown.
