Where to begin with the issues I had while living in one of the tiny homes. I paid my rent ALWAYS on time and sometimes early. I had a similar experience as Laura below with my a/c unit admittedly not being large enough to cool the home. Unfortunately I did not have the option to move at the time, so I stuck it out for months with temps around 90 degrees or more in my home most days and nights. I work from home, so pretty miserable. The solution they provided was a temp units that did not completely cool the home either. Which the units were still never upgraded when I moved out. Just a temp a/c installed in the kitchen area, taking up room you already don’t have. No compensation off of rent for that. They only kept my electric bill where it would have been without 3 separate a/c units running to try to cool the home.

Power outages are nonstop. I went days without power once as they did not install proper equipment when building the park. I was given a partial and not full refund on a hotel room that I had to find last minute on a weekend (it was no fancy thing either trust me). They gave a small credit for my groceries that went bad (again not enough). I was out a couple hundred dollars still just on the room and having to eat out. That doesn’t even count the groceries I had to throw away and rebuy. Not to mention, they would not cover another day at the hotel and I had to sit in my car for hours while they finished fixing the power, missing more work due to it. No other solution offered and was told that’s just it.

As I mentioned I work from home, the internet outages are also nonstop. When it goes down or the power goes down, they have to reset it in the front office area. So good luck if it happens after hours. Never offered anything for the days of work I missed due to it.

Leaking back door that took them months to come fix. Front doors do not shut without being deadlocked. So make sure you check if you don’t want to come home to your house wide open. Water off many times during my lease due to issues.

The topper to it all, I had enough and finally moved out when my lease was up. It took them almost a full 30 days to return my deposits with me bugging them often. When I finally did get my deposit check, they had charged me a $150 cleaning fee! The home was spotless as I cleaned the entire thing upon moving out. I asked them and they advise that it’s a standard fee they charge when you move out. Nowhere in my lease does it state this “standard” fee in fact my lease states I will receive the FULL amount back if the home was clean and in good condition upon move out. Just like any other rental place, I have never had to pay a cleaning fee as I clean when I leave. Well it was clean and it’s a good thing I took pics of it after doing so as proof. As I have advised them that legal action will be taken at this point if my money is not received. So do as you wish regarding moving here, but I’d take caution. The owners don’t care at all and are screwing people out of money knowingly.

The only good thing at that place is Nikki, she was always willing to go above and beyond to try to help. But, she can only do so much without the owners approvals. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. So glad to be out of that hell.
