We camped at site 2 on a Sunday and had the entire area to ourselves. We loved exploring the beach area in front of our campsite. We also paddled around the other sites and explored some small islands. I recommend water shoes as there was glass at our campsite and zebra mussels in the water. The only other downside was 1000's of flies and it was hard to get stakes in the ground for our tent. These were the only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars. We also didn't see the bathroom so can't review that.
Pros: Easy water access, lots for kids to explore, great bird and deer watching, perfect calm water for paddle boards/kayaker, shade. And just plain beautiful.
Cons: Flies, glass, and hard rock for staking.
Side note: When we arrived a nice family was in our original camp site 3 but we gladly moved to #2. Park host was wonderful about it and then left us alone which I prefer. We will be back very soon!!
