Soldiers Bluff Park gives a great look at the dam. It was a cold and rainy day that we were going through on our tour of the Hill Country in November, but the photos did not disappoint. If you are a photographer, you should put this little pin in your trip. I had great clouds and it gave us a good place to stretch our legs. There was no fee, maybe because it was off season, and a great place to stop and enjoy Lake Whitney.
