RVing in Texas for the first time, we planned our route to get to a destination recommended by a friend. Preferring to not drive over a certain amount of hours per day lead us to make a stop in between.

Creekside was appealing due to the low price for one month.

When we arrived, we chose a site we felt was best for us. After cleaning up broken plastic, a dead bird, and trash in the firepit (which had grass growing in it, so it was not being used,) we put the trailer on the pretty level site. Sites are fairly close together, but not an arm's length.

During setup, fire ants began biting at the water connection. Quite a few bites, but we got that taken care of quickly. Then we discovered nests of fire ant in quite a few places. Also, the water pressure to our RV was very low.

We let the owner and the manager know about ants and water pressure. Our fault on the water - they already had a hidden regulator connected that we did not see when we connected ours. The maintenance man removed theirs and also put down something to eradicate the ants.

The park has mostly full time tenants and not as many RVers that pass through. They also have on-site laundry which appeared to be clean even though we did not use it. Tenants in the park were quiet and the ones we did meet were personable. Each site has 50 amp full hookup and a stationary grill.

All in all, we left early instead of staying the length of time we had planned. Of course one reason being the park was not for us. Another reason - we wanted our next trip length to be less time, so it all worked out.

And - the park did make a wonderful attempt to make us happy during our stay and we do thank them for their efforts.
