Bandy Creek Campground was very nice for winter camping (February), even though only loop D was open. Campsites are mainly gravel with plenty of trees surrounding. The restroom was heated and nicely maintained. This is a large area, and the driving distance between trail heads and sections can be significant. The Twin Arch trail was very pretty, but some of the wooden steps were very steep. I was amazed that my dog was able to climb down them. Note that there are over 300 black bears in the park, so the campsites have bear boxes to safely store food. No food should be stored in tents or other accessible areas. All garbage must be placed in the bear proof bins.
