Let me start off by saying my wife and I have worked with children over 20 years each and are very easygoing and patient people. It would take a very extreme situation to push either of us to the point of anger or disappointment. Our weekend at your property was just that, a very disappointing situation that proves some people just don't have people skills and should consider a career change. A little advice for our camp host, Don: Being kind and thinking about your actions prior to approaching your guest will save you so much stress. Don physically ran up to our porch with a red face and angered facial expression yelling at us while he's a foot from my young daughter, scaring the s*** out of her.. I had to step in front of her because I was scared for her safety! Don should have calmly walked up to our porch, asked for the adult in charge and simply ask us to keep it down. The point would have been taken so much easier, especially being the 1st time he'd talked to us about any issues. Don and your wife who is obviously encouraging your behavior, remember this: Life is too short to stress about little things like did they rip us off for a bag of ice, are they one child over occupancy, did they start up their razor 5 min before time, are they having too much fun?
Last thing, I believe you blew this whole situation out of proportion for one simple reason, to allow you to get one more strike against the tenant on our deck that you didn't like from previous experience. You destroyed our weekend to get at someone you didn't like and made it something it was not.
