I would highly recommend Walcamp. The team there creates not only a loving but very safe environment for children to experience the great outdoors. They provide a nice balance or quiet activities with active outdoor activities. My kids always end the camp week by asking how soon they can go back to Walcamp.
Used to visit the family campground every August before school started with my friends I miss the place actually it's where I spawned an interest in the outdoors especially frog hunting every night in the ponds highly recommend it your feel like your in the cajun bayou lol thanks for a beautiful place with lovely memories attached to it
We love Walcamp! Our two boys go to summer camp here for a week every summer. They both started out with the half-week discover camp as it was their first time away from home. My youngest yelled at me when I picked him up and said, "Why did you come so early! I am going to miss all the best stuff!" Needless to say he went back for a full week the following year. My boys have done, Discovery, Classic, Owl Night, Treehouse and Teen Adventure camp. At pickup today, my son said, "This week was too short." The boys have a wonderful time and you really can't find any other overnight camp that will give you as much for such a small price! Sign your kids up for sure!
This camp is awesome! Fun and caring staff, balanced and creative activities make for a week my kids never forget.

We had a wonderful experience sending our 9 year old to Walcamp for his first sleep away camp adventure. The outdoor activities and games were a blast - he can’t stop talking about how much fun he had. The staff were so caring and attentive. I’m excited to send him back next year!
