New owners very hospitable. Our family had a great time there this past weekend. Looks like they have been working very hard on making this place a clean and safe place for families to enjoy. Our boys loved the pool. And after talking to the Rileys, sounds like they have big plans on continued improvements throughout the campground. We can't wait to go back to see what they will do next!
The place nice. Good young couple have taken it over and they are improving the campground! We are renting a spot for a year. They aren't renting daily camp sites they only have yearly site. Finally got the camper set in place for 2022! Now I hope the weather stays nice.
Heard nice things. I Wanted to check it out for a long term camper rental. Never gotten the phone to answer. Drove an hour to see the place.
Get there and no regulations, rules or signs posted. Talked to nearby resident and friend who rents here. Confirmed number of owner, no answer again.
Used open path to try and find the host site or main office, found a person who worked there and was told we weren't welcome rather clearly and rudely so we left. If they don't want people to even ask about renting then they should put a rules sign up like every other camp and rv park.
We love keeping our RV at Hickory Shores. Great people and well maintained
We had the absolute best time here over the 4th of July weekend with our family. We had 4 kids at the time and they just loved it. The cabins were clean and orderly. Everything we needed was provided and the staff was great if we had questions about camping, as we had never been before. It was such a good experience and we will definitely be back throughout the year not just for holidays! The pool was great because it was very spread out. The playgrounds were great for the littler kids and we just really enjoyed ourselves. We stayed in a cabin, but the campsites/RV are very very on top of each other. But the camping experience is what they are getting so I am not sure why someone would expect them to be more spread out. The cabins were spread out enough that we felt we had privacy.
