This campground is located along the Uinta River. Fishing in the Uinta River for brown, rainbow, and cutthroat trout is a popular activity in this area. The High Uintas Wilderness trailhead is nearby.
From Roosevelt, Utah travel north on Utah Highway 121 for 10 miles to Neola, Utah. Continue north through Neola, Utah on North Uintah Canyon Highway for 12 miles. Continue north on Forest Road 118 and travel for approximately 3 miles to the Uinta Canyon Campground.
Pretty good campground overall. My only wish is that the bathrooms were cleaned more often. Camping spot was fantastic though.
We had initially planned to just have a little getaway, but ended up with some family come out from out of town..ended up as a small family reunion/campout..
