The area is decent, but the campground didn't provide very much room in the site we were at. We only had room enough for one tent. The management let the brush grow in too much to allow for anything else. To get to the river we had to go through someone else's campsite. Also, that had a really bad hornet problem there. I understand that bugs are part of camping, but we had an unusual problem with hornets swarming whenever we were cooking. Usually I'll see a few out when I camp, but this place was really bad.
I love Magpie. Yes, you can hear the highway. Yes, the pit toilet isn't great but if I had to choose between city facilities and being off the grid, pit toilets win every time.
Great for tent camping or a small trailer. It's right next to the river.
Great place nice and quiet during the middle of the week 👌 David is the best host ever to bad he's moving on
