Great area to stop on our UTV ride. Just take bug spray. Wasps were annoying, but didn't take away from the scenery.

We went there right after a snow storm in early October, so we didn't camp. The road was very muddy on the surface, but solid underneath. Locals said there was good fishing in the lake and there was a single pit toilet, as the only facility. If you were looking for an out of the way, scenic, quiet place to camp or fish and you didn't need any facilities, if would be great. We saw some RV trailers nearby, so the road was usually good enough that you could also "boondock" with an RV nearby.

Very nice place. Beautiful scenery with the lake and meadows. Fishing wasn’t so great though. Could have just been timing or something but couldn’t even get a bit. Fly fishers were sometimes getting a bit but even slow for them. Maybe it was just the timing but from my experience in a nutshell, very beautiful place, not good fishing.

I'm sure the place is great, but as of June 13th, the road is impassable by any standard sized vehicle. The main road from Monroe has ice still on it that would require 35" tires with some extreme grip. The second dary road has a Can-am unable to make it. Try again in a couple weeks, or perhaps the Southside is viable.

Beautiful area with a gorgeous lake. Great little hidden gem. Area was clean and we were the only ones there.
