The campground was okay. Very small sites, making it hard to maneuver into a site. There are a lot of seasonal campers here. Our site was right in the middle of all the seasonal campers. They were friendly, but seemed to watch your every move. Our shower house didn't have hot water for the men's side. The campground has a 5 mph speed limit, which people riding bikes can go faster than that! Overall, the campground was quiet. Rules say no alcohol, but all the seasonal campers were drinking that we saw. The road into the campground is rough, got to dodge the potholes. We have TMobile cells and had no service in the campground. No big deal to me, but others may want to know. We camp at a lot of different campgrounds, but this one is definitely not at the top of my favorites list.

We recently stayed here over Labor Day weekend. The campground is a smaller campground but it was nice and had great views.

The staff who checked us in at the front entrance were nice but the camp host, Eddie, was a very rude! We never stayed at this campsite before. We had friends up on the hill & did not know you could not cut through from visiting them to go back down to our site. He chased us down on his golf cart and basically accused us of lying that we had rented a campsite there. We advised which site we were staying at and he proceeded to stalk us, stare, and say rude things to us as he drove back and forth past our campsite. We were advised by a few other campers who witnessed his behavior towards us that they experienced the same thing by him. This was unacceptable behavior! He wanted to enforce this but not one time did he or anyone enforce quiet time at this campsite. This man should not be a camp host! The way we were treated I would never stay at this campsite again.

Beautiful campground tucked away in a valley of the Laurel Highlands! We stayed at the creek side loop and loved sitting around the site listening to the water in the nearby creek. We brought our pup and he loved going on walks around the campground and meeting the other doggos staying there. Sites have full hookups that were in great condition and the entrance station has firewood, ice, and other miscellaneous items you may need during your stay. Staff was very friendly too. We will return for another stay!

For tent campers: Walk-to/woodland camp sites are very small (like 12-15 ft) and very close together. There is little privacy as far as being inside your tent with a light on to change clothing or keep conversation private. Children are allowed to run through and around your campsite/tent even if they are not in your party. About 80% of the sites are in direct sunlight with no access to shade in any form. There is no firewood to scavenge naturally and all the woods and brush and flora are covered in inch long thorns and briars. The lake was drained out and in order to reach water, you must cross the painfully dry lake bed and thigh deep mud, and again on the way back. Highly NOT recommended. Awesome bathrooms tho.

Nice camp ground and location between Ohiopyle and confluence, nice beach area and an area to put in your boat if you have omen. Showers have hot water! Just a little too hot sometimes.
