We are just one hour East of St. Louis, MO. From junction of I-70 (Exit 52) to Maple Street of Mulberry Grove to Route 140 west one mile.
Needed one night stay on our way West. Pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Stayed mid week so had place to ourselves. Lots of seasonal places, with major site improvements, could be noisier on weekends. Nice pool, clean restrooms. Would definitely go back. Dollar General & great tavern nearby. Only reason not a five star - shower handle has to be held throughout entire shower or it shuts off. We "get it", but didn't "like it".
Very convenient to I70 but far enough off the highway that all we heard at night were crickets and frogs! Huge expanses of grass for kids/dogs. Lots of play equipment. Lakes dotted throughout the campground (CG). Trees everywhere. Timber Trails was a pleasant surprise! We didn't use the facilities but I did check them out out: very clean, though older. The entire CG was well taken care of. 99% permanent residents with only about 10 transient sites with water/electric only. Both worked fine. Our site had a large picnic table and very nice fire ring. Heads up: cash only! Our only complaint was there was only one other camper in the transient sites yet we were given one in full sun while all the others were very shaded. The friendly teenaged boy who escorted us to our site said he was sorry it was in the sun but that I'd have to go back to the office later and talk to someone if we wanted to be assigned to another site. Pretty disappointing, but it wasn't worth sitting in our truck waiting for "later" and then have to drive all the way to the back of the CG to talk to them. All in all we were very happy with our overnight stay and will stay here again when we head back this way next month.
We stayed here a single night with our 3 kids on a cross country road trip - amazing!!! I was so pleased with location, it had multiple playgrounds and activities for the kids, a big beautiful cornfield lining one side of the property, and some of the prettiest trees I’ve seen. I took a walk with my dog in the AM to explore and was not disappointed with the location at all. Clean, incredibly priced, and Jody couldn’t be sweeter! We arrived late and she was still happy to help us locate our campsite and even drove us there. There are some permanent campers and they have adorable setups that the kids loved checking out too (age 5, 5, 9). Highly recommend!
Stayed 2 nights, great pull-thru site for our 45ft coach. The owner greeted us and showed us a couple of sites to choose from. They have a very nice in-ground swimming 🥽 pool. Very 🫧 clean pool and bath house. We were told the drinking water here is city water. Strong 50-amp electric for a 95 degree day today. The seasonals were very friendly. Well kept park.
Absolutely gorgeous Campground! Very wooded and out in the country but close to I 70. Very large pull through site. Lots of seasonal sites but all were very well kept. The grounds were immaculate!! Beautiful in ground swimming pool.
The owner showed us to our site and she was extremely nice and helpful!!! I would definitely stay here again. What a hidden gem!!
