Beautiful area, Campground is well kept, wifi works! I'm staying here for 3 months while I'm on a work contract in Kalispell. The reviews about the Campground hosts made me sceptical but as this place was reasonably priced for the summer, while locations in Kalispell or a little closer to Glacier Park were charging absurd rates for the summer months we decided to come here. I am HAPPY we did! They have different hosts this year, Karen and Brian and they ARE VERY WELCOMING, FRIENDLY AND RESPECTFUL! Mosquitoes are a problem up here...but the area has had ALOT of rain this year and the Campground sits in the woods between 2 lakes so it's kind of par for the course. The area is incredibly peaceful and beautiful and is in a good position for multiple fishing and hiking access, ie multiple lakes, the kootenai river and still reasonable distance to Kalispell/flathead valley.
We spent two weeks in July 2019. Campground was clean and well kept. Bathrooms were clean as well as the laundry facilities. Well managed with friendly personnel. Clean, clear, beautiful, lake waters (good fishing and full of crayfish). See Horseshoe lake while your there, incredible ! Can't wait to go back!!
Very nice place, can handle large rigs,WiFi is OK but they offer a premium that streams well for 20$/week, bathrooms and showers are clean, the sites are a little close but not bad, they have a wooded walking trail around the whole perimeter witch is very nice, close to lots of lakes two within walking distance.
Over all I would recommend this park.
We stayed for four days in the park and the amenities were very good including clean bathrooms and showers. The park was well kept but it still managed to keep the feel of the forest because there were natural areas surrounding the park in close proximity. Little McGregor lake was a short walk away with opportunities to view waterfowl including a few pairs of loons who's calls could be heard periodically echoing off of the cliffs on the far side of the lake. I would certainly have given the park a higher rating if it wasn't for the two park hosts making us all feel uncomfortable, they seemed overbearing and unfriendly.
This felt like home. Our family enjoyed being in the woods close to all the lakes with so many places to hike, boat, fish and mountains to see! The camp hosts Karen and Brian are like family and treated our kids like their own! There is no place like this and it really was hard to leave! We will always remember our amazing time are Lake Mcgregor! ❤️
