About Campground

**Northern Colorado’s Getaway!**

Unplug from your connected world and relax in one of our fourteen rustic log cabins nestled among the aspens in the historic mining town of Columbine, Colorado (founded in 1897).

The town, on the *National Register of Historic Places*, features an impressive lodge and modern shower house, an inviting wood-fired sauna, an authentic General Store, and plenty of tall tales to share around the campfire. We don’t have cell service, Wi-Fi, or televisions!

Located 29 miles north of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Surrounded by Routt National Forest at the base on Hahns Peak. We provide year-round recreational activities such as hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, nature watching, snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing and more!

**We allow up to 2 dogs per cabin ($25/night fee per dog). **You will need to complete our pet waiver (link in our welcome email) and contact us with a credit card to pay the fee prior to your stay. **Please let us know if you are bringing pets!**

Just home from our favourite weekend of the summer. This year I have to let everyone know about our amazing experience with the owners and staff. My son broke his leg the first evening of our stay and couldn't walk the entire 3 days. The staff heard about our situation and borrowed a wagon from some friends so we didn't have to carry him everywhere, the wagon was delivered to the front door of our cabin with a cozy blanket. We went on to have a fun, peaceful weekend at the cabins. THANK YOU!!

I have stayed here both in the winter and just recently did a summer stay. This is such a professional operation with clean cabins and the most amazing bath house. Perfect basecamp for backcountry skiing, mountain or gravel biking, as well as hiking. Also they have an ice cream setup this summer :-)

We ride UTV’s and this place is a great spot. Ride right from the parking lot. Some of the best scenery. I recommend riding north to Hog Park Lake (west side) then over to the east side and then back south to Red Park for a loop. The cabins are amazing, grounds are beautiful, and the service cannot be beat. This is our second year and we decided this will be our yearly trip. Can’t beat this area! The ice cream after a ride is a great treat too!

We stayed here for a week of Jeeping and rented 11 of the cabins. Our cabin didn’t have a bathroom so we used the bathhouse and all of the amenities in there were great! Clean, large, modern, comfortable, couldn’t have asked for anything more. The cabin itself was very clean for its rustic look along with the grounds and all of the amenities. Kudos to the staff for their outstanding service. Lastly the Ice Cream was a nice treat after a day of Jeeping. I would definitely stay again.

We had a big group stay for the weekend for my friends birthday and we had an amazing time. Lea and her husband (the caretakers) were very accommodating and friendly. Can’t wait to come back!!
