great spot for camping and so close to the lake! Super easy check in and access to showers/toilets was great. It was also nice being right between Munising and Marquette. Make sure to bring warm clothing for the nights. It gets super cold in the area and feels colder than it says temperature-wise. Highly recommend a kayak tour with Pictured Rocks Kayaking if you like being on the water. There are also kayak rentals down the road if you'd rather go on your own.
Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay!! They have bathrooms and showers…small but clean and everything you need. There is a store, pizza, and a breakfast bagel with coffee available.
We had a flat tire on our camper…the owner helped my husband change it so we could continue on our trip. Thank you so much…you’re our hero!
It’s tucked away…but there’s cabins, a short trail, fishing, playground, and more!
Open all year round!! Be sure to stop and stay at a cabin, electric hookups for camper, or secluded campsites!!
This was our second trip up to Superior Times and it won't be our last. Great place to bring the family, even the dogs. The cabin rentals are great and the views of the lake are gorgeous. Only a few miles to many people's #1 favorite beach in the entire state of Michigan, Au Train Beach on Lake Superior. The owners being on-site helps to keep this place fun, safe, clean, and well cared for. There are a lot of fun things that can be affordably rented for the day including jet-skis, golf carts, and pontoon boats. Even when the cabins are full it can feel like you are the only person there. Thanks for the memories.
Let me just say, the campgrounds were perfect for our large family reunion! We spent several days together and enjoyed every minute of it. We stayed in a variety of cabins, bungalows and rvs, all were great. We also rented most of the water craft, and all was great. The pizza is to die for!
The reason for the low stars for service is because I realized about 2 hours after I left for home that I had forgotten a very important and valuable item in my bungalow. It's 100% my fault for leaving it, but when I contacted the owner I was told that the cleaners didn't see the object there and neither did the owner when they went to check. 2 days later after I returned home and emptied out my car I told them the object was not in my vehicle and was basically blown off. I know I left it there. Someone just isn't owning up to finding it.
We stayed in tent site 23, and it was spacious, clean, and easy to stake out our tent. The bathrooms were easy to walk to and were clean and heated with hot water even in December. We bought firewood and kindling for a good price, and it was dry despite the rain. The campsite hosts were exceptionally accommodating as we ran into multiple travel issues, answered the phone every time we called, and made sure that we were safe and taken care of. Of the 15+ campgrounds I’ve been to, this has certainly been one of the nicest. I highly recommend, especially if you’re looking for a year-round camping experience.
