I arrived as the sun was setting, & the view was stunning. Google maps initially had me turn onto a gravel drive that was fenced off. The actual gravel drive for access is just a little to the south & marked by a brown sign. I drive about 2 miles from the main road in a low clearance car, no problem. There is a guest book & some informational pamphlets in metal boxes, either side of the bulletin board. Despite having read that there were "on-site" bathrooms in another review, I only saw the covered tables, fire rings, & charcoal cooking stations. Overall, a lovely site on free BLM land, & if I pass through again, I will definitely stay. Remember to practice "Leave No Trace" principles, & be aware that this is home to wildlife.
Great place with awesome views
Town is close for supplies. Small grocery store near the main part of town. I got propane by trade at Tillies and laundry is at a small campground in town, open to everyone. Water is available at the free city campground near the park and Courthouse.
