From jct US-12 & US-410: Go 15 mi W on US-410.
Parked our motor home there. Was very easy access. Had nice restrooms + shower room !
Camp ground was nice and up kept. Swimming pool area was nice and inviting. Right next to to river. Could use a couple path ways to the river , because of your site isn't facing the river , you have to walk thru some elses site to walk down there.
The store was nice , had DVDs you could barrow to watch. Pricing in the store was actually reasonable an they did have a good selection of things.
Oh there isn't any cell phone service up there. They do offer wifi but their router speed is very slow and has a terrible range distances. So don't count of internet for many things . You can get a message or email thru but streaming anything probably isn't going to happen.
The ladies working the camp site are very sweet. My son was up at the store always buying goodies. When he would come back he would tell me this and that of there interactions and was saying how nice they were an how he just loved them.
The location is some what nice.
It's not way far up that it takes forever to get back to town if your staying up for awhile. There's the quick access to the river.
The down side is it's right next to the road literally right there . So you have very loud car sounds. Especially the motorcycles coming through. Which that pass usually has quite a few motorcycle group runs thru there.
Family fun!!! 🌞 We are normaly "backwood" campers. Although, on our way back home from camping last summer, we ran across this cute place and popped in for a treat at their little store!
As we strolled around the park with our lab pup, we knew we just had to come back!
So, we did! July, 2023 was a week of family fun with our adult kiddos and grandbabes! 3 days of swimming, playing in the creek, and enjoying the propane campfire they have available!! Smores, BBQ's and a safe and clean environment! Showers, bathrooms and full hookups for RV's! The cabins are adorable and will be a quick pop in get away for my husband and I if needed! Heading up again this week!! Summer fun could not be closer or easier to find! They also have a little restraunt that sells the best Cinnamon rolls!! 😋
Had RV spot next to the river. Was peaceful.
Only objective was no sewer hookup so had to be cautious to not fill up holding tanks as I had a 5 day stay.
Friendly staff. Family reunion with a big group and they were flexible for us. We will go again as the setting is great, the pool is great, playground nice for kids. A few glitches with old food on cabin floors, showers, coffee pots but they were receptive to correcting.
Our side of the campground was fine, but long term campers (we assume, based on the state of their site) in a motorhome on the other side of the store really ruined our experience. Loud music late into the evening and loud truck in the middle of the night woke up the kids. Lots vehicles and stuff around that site made it look trashy… not the peaceful mountain experience we were looking for. Lady in the store was kind but dismissive of our concerns.
