This is the combined HQ of North Cascades National Park and the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. You're still a few miles from both those places, but this is a great start for getting maps, guide books, and first-hand info from friendly, knowledgeable humans.
Check their hours; they're not open weekends in the winter.
Phenomenal. A wonderful change from the flat Midwest where I live. Simply standing in the presence of the park's towering massive peaks is humbling. A wonderful location to visit and linger. Allow plenty of time to fully experience and enjoy the majesty of the park.

Simply stunning. Amazing drive with frequent stops for picnics and scenic overlooks. The string of dams are awesome to see and create a series of beautiful lakes.
