Attended the 33rd Annual Mayhaw Festival (2016). Plenty of crafts, boutique clothing, and great food. And of course, mayhaw jelly! Great venue, very well laid out, not overly crowded.
Condom wrapper littered the ground like Times Square on NYE. Caution tape was drapped around every standing structure in site and the playground had been split in half by a fallen tree. The air smell of deceased rodents and the line for the prisoner drop off was located directly next to the entrance. May I add that we were attacked by a flock of dragonfly sized gnats that ruthlessly chased us back to our car in an attempt to procure our cold, hard soggy chicken tenders from the Hardee's 1 mile to the east. They also forgot our straws. 10/10 would not recommend.
This place has a board walk. Play ground. Covered picnic tables and fixed in place grills. RV hook ups. Spring creek is spring feed . Great for canoe trip. Spring creek ends a Lake Seminole.. 20 miles
Facilities are terribly dilapidated, the rest room was filthy. I remember when I was little the water around the board walk and walking trail was clean and clear but now the board walk is almost completely destroyed and very unstable as well as the water was heavily polluted by oil and sludge with dead fish floating around.
Its a real shame that the city of Colquitt has allowed this park to deteriorate this much.
Set up a tent for Dr Swofford's office for trunk or treat. Had a great time. At least 400 kids showed up. It was a great thing for the kids to do.
