About Campground

This is part of the donation based hostel run as a ministry of the church it is housed in. In four years we have hosted 2250 guests. The suggested donation at the hostel is from $25-65 per bed depending on option. This camping area is newly cut from the wild to reveal a charming creekside at the base of basalt rock cliffs. We have two summer teepee style Wentzel tents on site for a suggested donation of $25 a night They sleep two comfortable and three cozy. Five hammock poles some with lounging hammocks installed on a few. It is a work in progress but lovely, protected from harsh sun and faces the sunset.

Kitchen, shower with towels, soap, shampoo and laundry options are included. Pets upon approval. They must be socialized, stay with you at all times and must sleep inside your tent or car. We love pets and have three of our own but we must encourage a friendly place for all. Barker's or lunger's will be asked to leave for the comfort of other guests.

The Spoke'n Hostel is a wonderful refuge nestled in the wild mountains of central Oregon. The owners are absolutely wonderful people who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome.

The beds are comfy, the showers delightful, the hang out area is cozy and has lots of entertainment options, and the local adventure opportunities are endless.

I highly reccomend staying here, and can't wait to return myself!

Jalet and Patrick were fantastic hosts to me and my sister as we explored the area on a four day bike trip of the Painted Hills Scenic Bikeway. The hostel is cozy, well equipped and welcoming, with many bike and hospitality themed decorations. We met several inspiring cyclists who were each completing the TransAm ride all the way across the US, and ended up having an impromptu dinner and swapping tales. A well needed break after many hours of biking and a fun time connecting! I can see why this hostel is so highly rated - the folks running it truly care and are very thoughtful in their hosting. Thank you Jalet and Patrick!

This place is absolutely fantastic. Conveniently located close to Painted Hills, it is super clean and well equipped. A small creek runs in the back and there is a hammock, chairs and tables to listen to the water run. It's true treasure is Patrick and his wife. What an awesome couple. I was visiting with my daughter, sister and niece and needed a place for the night and we struck gold!!

We tent camped and had use of the hostel for meals, showers, and activities. The owners, Pat and Jalet, are so wonderfully friendly and generous. It truly felt like visiting family, even though it was our first time there. Absolutely 5+ stars!

What a great spot. I’ve stayed in all manner of hostels - good, bad and ugly. Spoke’n Hostel ranks among the best. The hosts are kind and the place is neat and comfortable. We stopped here on the 3rd night of a 4 night bike packing loop around the Ochoco Nat’l Forest and it was honestly the highlight of the trip.
