This was our first time, we most likely will not be back.

POV: we are tent campers, not RV campers, could be different experience for those in RVs.

Great campground for fishing, not for launching a vessel you care about. (Great area for kayaking)

No spiket water at sites except up the hill near 26-30, can be a long walk to the bathroom depending on your site.

Sites I would recommend: 30(most secluded), 40s, 8 but only if you also book 9.

Lower numbered sites are essentially in a “lot”, sites are on top of each other.

Not worth the $ for what it is, at least during the “off season” time.

Day use sites did appear well maintained, again no running water but there was a hand washing station set-up. Day use area is not right off the water however.

Birds are very vocal during the day, frogs are vocal at night. Allegedly an albino coyote that wonders the campground, we didn’t see em’ but did have fresh poop at our site in mornings.

Weren’t disturbed by raccoons at all.

We did have some confusion around check in, signs were not clear, no one at post although arriving before office “closed” hours.. No contact made with campground “hosts” until a full day later when it was determined we were in someone else’s spot (confusion on my end with mixing up site numbers from what I booked online - no service from campground to check confirmations, reco. To print out!) Also, all sites around where we were, were completely empty, so we were surprised to hear the complaint…

We prefer Putah Creek/Canyon Campground.

Live this place! Staff is great, lake is beautiful. Only bummer was the weekend we went there was some Rave that happened right by the lake and the after party happened at the campsite next to us. They partied until 5:30 in the morning. Really not cool. Nobody there seemed to want the ravers there. I wish the staff would have just kicked them out. After 3-4 polite requests to stop playing music/talking loudly they still wouldn’t shut up. If you’re gonna rave, find somewhere else!

Camping has large sites, friendly helpful staff, beautiful, large lake. Excellent for paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, water skiing, swimming, or just floating around on a floatie. Porta potties, no showers, so bring wipes. Dog friendly. Group areas also. One of the best lakes to visit!

Stayed here for two days. First night our direct neighbor in 27 site had a generator running all day and into the evening, even though policies stare no generators allowed.. On day two someone in a nearby site was playing music until 5:30 am. No one from your company enforces the rules. That is just not right. Great Lake but terrible rule enforcement. Bathrooms are porta potty’s and got really gross. So we most likely won’t return unless this changes and you hire someone to oversee this problem.

Went camping with friends to watch the meteor shower, and it was fantastic! Great views of the beautiful lake (and stars) from all lots. Sites are spacious, have shade trees, and are flat for comfy tent camping. I wish there were more portapottys throughout the campground, but an overall great place to get away.
