This is an excellent trailhead area. Bathrooms work, and a nice set of trails to pick from for repeat visits.
Beautiful hike with a choice of 5 loops that each add about a mile so you have a choice of distances. There are great river views on th last half of the hike.
Nice simple hike to acclimate to the area with shady areas and occasionally by West Rock Creek. You can stretch it out to make it longer and harder by taking loops that gain more elevation. You cross a spring fed creek a few times like pic.
One nice large camper/campsite spot just up the gravel road. Easy to get to but feels like you are out in the middle of the mountains. We spent just a few days here but would come back again. Great trail as well. There was quite a few hikers that passed by the campsite heading to the trail. Dogs were often off leash so I'd be mindful of that with your site if you set up here.
