Perfect for accessing Flathead Lake. Toilets and even stations for drinking water. A few fire rings and picnic tables if you get there early in high season. Some easy trails to hike and great spots to climb cliffs and even jump in the lake...but it is COLD.
My favorite part of this campground was the lake 😍. So gorgeous!!! We had an overnight stay plus enjoy the day a few hours before leaving for Wyoming
We camped in walk-in site #30 and apart from the fact that it was probably 150 yards from the closest parking it was a great spot. It might be a little less comfortable with inclement weather coming in from the west off the lake. We were fortunate to have a beautiful evening. We bought two bundles of wood for $5 each. They came complete with paper, kindling, matches and wood all in each bag. The camp host was even nice enough to carry it all the way to our site for my wife while I set up our tent. He stayed and chatted for a while after. Washrooms were a bit of a hike from the site but they were clean.
This place is absolutley relaxing. You can make a reservation to have a table with firepit just for you. They charge $6 dollars per vehicle to enter the area. There is a good parking area, staff actively working to organize everything and make the things work properly. I spent the day with my family right in front of the lake. Their tables are positioned between bushes, giving us a good privacy.
Camped, used the boat launch, and had a great time. The park is gorgeous and in a great location on the lake. USE CAUTION with the main boat launch ramp as it drops off steeply to large rocks that have been exposed by people power loading (as evidenced by the many prop marks all over said rocks). There's an adjacent ramp that is much better, but you can't use the dock as easily using that one since it angles away from the dock. Probably not as big of a problem when water levels are high, but when we went in mid-July, the water was a bit low.
