We recommend guest take the Hart Exit (149) and head West on Polk Rd. Turn left on 56th. At Fox Rd (4 way stop) turn right. Turn left on 34th. Turn left on W. Taylor Rd, entrance on your right.
This is a beautiful campground. The staff is very friendly! Large campsites (we stayed in a full hook up site). Loved the cement pad! Restroom and shower facilities very clean. Loved having a hot shower!! I would highly recommend! We are planning our next stay!!
Great customer service. The campground was well kept. The shower houses were clean. They would even pick up your trash from your camp site, never had that before. The water pressure was awesome and tasted great; it was well water - I would have never know if I didn't ask when I checked in. Would definitely recommend this campground to anyone.
This is a campground so no rooms, but the campsites are roomy, with a nice mix of shade and sun, and a beautiful setting. The camp store is well-stocked and convenient, with reasonable prices for ice and firewood. The restroom and shower facilities are very clean, large, and close by. Beautiful pool! I appreciated the daily garbage pick-up at the site and the clean fire pits and picnic tables. Close to lots of beaches and fun activities.
Great campground. Very up to date. The amenities are very nice and clean. Our site was spacious. Great customer service. We did stay on a cement pad site with full hook up.
The only thing I didn't like was having to pay $35 to hold a specific site. We went with friends who we wanted to be close by, if you don't pay the $35, they can locate you wherever, even though you requested a certain site. When reserving at state campgrounds, you are reserving the site you requested. You are not moved off to other sites. Hotels don't charge an extra fee to hold your room.
I feel that paying $90 a day is a lot, I shouldn't pay another 35 for reserving a site.
I would highly recommend this campground but if your going with others and or would like a specific site, you pay an additional fee for it.
We have been staying at silver hills for the last 4 years and it gets better every year! The upgrades and remodeling are amazing, we love the variety in choices for campsites. The bathrooms and showers are great and the entire place is very spacious! I would say the only thing we do dislike is the quiet hours enforcement is quite strict through the on season, however we understand why. I would highly recommend staying here!!
