We stayed in the white tail retreat on our way to and from a Red Rocks concert. It was well cleaned and has A/C, plumbing and a kitchen. The site is quiet and peaceful. There is freeway noise but it didn’t bother us. Nice place to stay while traveling.
You could not pay me to stay in this place! After a 2-3 mile horrible, dusty drive in on a dirt road, the full hook-up area is a dust bowl from hell! Also, the owner is shady and not trustworthy. There is a safe, nice, less expensive KOA near by.
Our site was very small and not level enough for our rig. The big sites are way too tight and hard to get out of. Not recommended for big rigs with tows. Ok for smaller units and the facilities are adequate for summer smaller family camping except one bathroom and one shower. I won't be back.
I only gave it one star because I had to, in order to review. It doesn’t even deserve one. The drive in & out is a dusty, gravel road, about a mile in either direction. After registering, we had to back up our rig, to drive up the hill to the full hookup sites, because the signage was incorrect. Once in the correct area, we could not position our rig so that we could connect to water, power & sewer. The desk clerk suggested that we should have ignored the signage and driven in the exit. This place is so bad, we asked for a refund (1st time ever), 10 minutes after checking in. It was refused. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and it was refunded. The desk clerk was rude and uncooperative. She refused to even try to understand our point. The office was dirty and smelly. We didn’t stay. We would never stay. And, we encourage others to avoid this place, too. It was absolutely the worst RV experience we’ve had in a lifetime of RVing.
This is such a lovely park that unfortunately is by the highway so there is some road noise. If you want to stay close to highway to get back on to continue traveling, its a nice stop. We stayed 2 nights(Oct 2023)and consider it very nice for a stop over. Sites are clean and spaced apart, bathroom and shower are clean. Check in was a breeze. Nice play area for the kids too. As stated prior in posts there is a gravel county road you will have to come in on, but hey, it's the country!! Staff friendly. WIFI very strong/fast.
P.S site 11 is awesome.
