Beautiful place to escape the summer heat. Make sure to check out the Santa Rita Logde and the miniature houses, just past the lodge, along the road.

Something for everyone in the Santa Ritas, from well maintained trails from Madera Canyon to dirt roads and wild off trail hikes all over the range. Grasslands, pinyon juniper forest, up to oaks and ponderosa pines with craiggy peaks. For a wild hike try Elephant Head if you have no fear of heights. I have hiked these mountains for years and have not run out of new places.
